The Bachelor 'Jason Mesnick' Is Sleepless in Seattle

Jason Mesnick took a swing through his hometown of Seattle on this week’s episode of The Bachelor.

Mesnick, 32, talks about stepping out on his own turf, the realities of parenthood and the heart-wrenching decision-making that went into narrowing his playing field to four.

This week I got to take all five women to my hometown of Seattle. I was excited to spend time with them on my turf. I was also excited to be back home, albeit briefly, with my boy, Ty.

I have really experienced a lot of what my hometown has to offer, but I have always wanted to go on a seaplane and I finally got the opportunity to do so with Naomi. We flew over the Puget Sound, the Space Needle and even my house. It was truly “AMAZING.”

Melissa really was so easygoing. Even though I had to cancel my date with her, she was completely up for the change of plans. I really felt bad because I wanted to show her what Seattle had to offer. But Ty was sad at the thought of me going out for the night. Being a dad, I knew Ty was my responsibility and I was just really happy that she was so cool about not going out for the night and taking it easy with me at the house.

Kissing the girls in front of each other was really awkward, although it was really easy to tell the difference. Each girl is so different from one another and if it was my choice I really wouldn’t have done it in front of the other girls but it was what it was.

Casual is my style. If I had it my way I would be in a suit as little as possible. My date with Naomi is something I would really do. We had so much fun and I think Naomi really got to see the real me.

The rose ceremony was the toughest one yet because once I realized I was sending Steph home, it was truly heartbreaking. Steph has been through so much in her life and is really one of the most incredible people I have ever met. Even though I knew I had to say goodbye to her, it was incredibly tough. For Steph to have the outlook on the world the way she does tells us all really what she is made of. I was so emotional and just told the rest of the girls even though Steph and I weren’t meant to be she is one of the most incredible people I have ever met.

I am really excited for the hometown visits. This is really where everything changed for me last season with DeAnna and I know it will be the same this year. Naomi, Jill, Melissa, and Molly each have huge hearts and that was my ultimate goal finding my final four girls. I am not nervous at all. I’m just excited to see the girls in their own element.

Brad Pitt Selling Malibu Home

It makes sense. The Pitt-Jolie clan cruises the globe so much it seems silly to have more than, let's say, half a dozen homes. But selling the Malibu pad? C'mon Brad!
Brad Pitt has quietly put his Malibu bluff estate on the market, for a cool $18 million.
The property includes a glass walled contemporary house perched on the bluff overlooking the ocean, a large swimming pool, a tennis court and A-list neighbors that include Cindy Crawford and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Records show that Brad paid $8,410,000 when he bought the estate in 2005, in the aftermath of his split from ex Jennifer Aniston.
Pitt, 45, Angelina Jolie, 33, and their six kids, will now have to divide their time between the couple's remaining six homes--- Brad's ocean front compound just north of Santa Barbara, his long-time home in L.A.'s Los Feliz area, the Pitt-Jolie pad in New Orleans, Angie's Cambodian hideaway and the 35-bedroom Chateau Miraval estate in rural France.
Oh, and there's the newly purchased 40-plus acre estate in Long Island, NY. Guess something had to pay for the new house!

Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Suri Vacation at Beach in Brazil

Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and their 2-year-old daughter Suri enjoyed a relaxing family beach vacation over the weekend in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

After spotting the three on the beach (located in a military base), a small small crowd gathered around them.

Cruise was in a festive mood, taking photos with several locals. Holmes, in a one-piece swimsuit, also appeared more laid back, ditching high heels for flip flops once she stepped onto the sand.

Suri was also spotted collecting sea shells buried in the sand with some local children.
The family fun continued Sunday when the three took a helicopter ride in Rio de Janeiro.

The Cruise clan -- who arrived at the Copacabana Palace Hotel in Rio de Janeiro -- are in South America to promote the actor's new film Valkyrie, which premieres in Brazil on Tuesday.

Vanessa Hudgeons Will Not Appear In Twilight Sequel

The latest scoop in the world of New Moon casting is that "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens, who recently auditioned for the role of Leah Clearwater for the "Twilight" sequel, probably won't be getting the part anytime soon.

Why? Well, apparently the character of Leah Clearwater won't appear until after "New Moon."
"I'm not sure about [final] casting, but I had heard Vanessa Hudgens was going up for the part of Leah [Clearwater, a werewolf]," Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote both films, told People at the 61st Annual Directors Guild of America Awards. "But at the moment, the part of Leah doesn't happen until the third movie."

Jennifer Hudson's Producer From Super Bowl Insisted She Lip-Synch National Anthem

By now, you've probably either read about or seen Jennifer Hudson's amazing rendition of the the National Anthem before Sunday night's Super Bowl.

In her first public performance since her mother mother, brother, and nephew were murdered in October, Hudson delivered a stunning version of the anthem.

But after the game, the show's producer, "American Idol" music director Ricky Minor, told The Associated Press that, at his request, Hudson lip-synched the anthem to a previously recorded track.

"This was such an important performance, because it's the first time everyone has seen Jennifer. But she's in such a great place, with such great spirits, and time can heal her wounds. She's on fire right now and totally grounded," said Minor.

Minor explained that he insisted that both Hudson Faith Hill, who performed "America the Beautiful" before Hudson, sing to the prerecorded tracks the NFL requires them to submit a week before the game.

"That's the right way to do it," Minor said. "There's too many variables to go live. I would never recommend any artist go live, because the slightest glitch would devastate the performance."

Hudson, 27, who has yet to discuss her family tragedy in public, will next appear at the Grammy Awards on February 8.
