
The movie, set in the city of Baltimore, portrays interconnecting story lines to deal with the challenges of reading or misreading human behavior. Among others appearing in the star-studded film are Justin Long, Jennifer Connelly, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Connolly, Scarlett Johansson and Ginnifer Goodwin.
The thriller 'Taken' fell to No. 2 this weekend with an estimated $20.3 million. The film stars Liam Neeson as a former CIA agent whose estranged daughter is kidnapped in Paris and he sets out to find her at any cost.
The new animated feautre 'Coraline' debuted in third place with $16.3 million. The film tells the story of a young girl -- played by Dakota Fanning -- who walks through a secret door in her new home to discover an alternate version of her life.
In fourth place with $12 million was Steve Martin's comedy sequel "The Pink Panther 2,' followed by 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop,' which earned $11 million. 'Mall Cop,' starring Kevin James as a mild-mannered bumbling security guard, has so far earned a whopping $97 million overall.
