Brad Pitt Defends Jen & Angelina in the Same Article

Is Brad Pitt trying to declare peace in the Brangelina vs. Jennifer Aniston media smackdown?

It seems that way in his latest interview in W magazine, where he's photographed au naturel and gives unguarded answers when asked about Jen's "uncool" comments.

"Jen is a sweetheart,” Brad says. “I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created.”

He echoes Jen's claims that they're still in touch, saying that he and Jen still "check in" with each other. "She was a big part of my life, and me hers," he continues.

Twilight's Taylor Lautner May Stay On As Jacob Black In New Moon

Taylor Lautner could reprise his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight sequel New Moon.

Summit Entertainment is expected to announce its decision as early as this week for the next film based on Stephenie Meyer's vampire series.

A decision that will make many Twilight – as well as the Lautner, 16 – very happy. "Jacob is a totally different character in New Moon," Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter of both Twilight films says. "He's a foot taller and huge – and he's supposed to look 25. It's really a question of whether or not the same actor can play the role."

Even Lautner recognizes the difference in his character and told MTV last month he had been working out enough to gain 19 lbs. and had 10 to go! Kristen Stewart, 18, is set to return as Bella Swan, and Robert Pattinson, 22, will definitely be her hunky vampire love interest, Edward Cullen.

The sequel will be directed by Chris Weitz and released Nov. 20, 2009.

In a recent People poll, readers overwhelmingly chose Lautner to stay on rather than be replaced by Michael Copon, 26, in the more mature role. Rosenberg adds, "'Everyone would love to keep him. We all think he's the loveliest person ever."

Jennifer Garner and Husband Ben Affleck Welcome a Baby Girl

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have welcomed another girl, their rep confirms.

The baby was born Tuesday in Los Angeles and is healthy, says the rep.No other details were available.

A smiling Garner was spotted being wheeled on a roll-away hospital bed as she was taken to her room. A blanket was draped over her, and it appeared that she was holding the baby. Shortly after, the hospital staff brought in a portable bassinet and heart monitor to check on the baby.

In July, the actress, 36, was expecting a second child.

As her baby bump grew, Garner finally confirmed the news a month later, joking to Access Hollywood, "Oh, I'm not pregnant. I just had a lot of carbs for breakfast. It's just -- what do they call it -- a breakfast pouch?" She then added, "We're so excited, obviously."

Garner and Affleck, 36 -- who welcomed their first daughter Violet in 2005 -- had been vocal about wanting another baby.

"We definitely wonder what it would be like to have another," she told the U.K. edition of Marie Claire in 2007. "Hopefully, knock on wood, someday."

In June, Affleck told Access: "We're very happy. Things couldn't be better. We're kind of taking it easy and just kind of enjoying a little downtime at home."

Patrick Swayze Talks To Barbara Walters About His Illness

In his first television interview since his pancreatic cancer diagnosis last year, Patrick Swayze admits he get scared.

"There's a lot of fear here," Swayze, 56, tells Barbara Walters in an ABC special airing Wednesday (10 p.m., ET.) "There's a lot of stuff going on. "Yeah, I'm scared. Yeah, I'm angry. Yeah, I'm [asking] why me," he goes on. "Yeah, I'm all this stuff. "You can bet that I'm going through hell," the actor also says. "And I've only seen the beginning of it."

He remembers when he first felt sick in late 2007. As he celebrated New Year's Eve with his wife, Lisa Niemi, "I tried to have champagne, and it would be like pouring acid, you know, on an open wound," he recalls. Soon, he says, "my indigestion issues got gigantic and constant. And then I started thinking, I'm getting skinny.

"I dropped about 20 pounds in the blink of an eye. And then when you see it in the mirror, when all of a sudden, you pull your eyes down and the bottom of your eyes go yellow and jaundice sets in -- then you know something's wrong."

Doctors found that Swayze had a malignant tumor in his midsection and a tiny mass on his liver. After a series of procedures over several days, doctors discovered that the actor had Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

"For the first few weeks, it was like being in a nightmare you couldn't wake up from," his wife, Niemi, 52, tells Walters. Swayze says his response to the diagnoses was: "'Watch me! You watch what I pull off.'"

Because his cancer had spread to his liver, having surgery to remove it was not an option. So Swayze underwent traditional chemotherapy along with the experimental drug Vatalanib.
He has lived with his cancer for a year. He credits his wife with getting him through it.
"Part of me says I couldn't have made it through without her, but, of course, the other part of me says I could have, but not nearly as elegantly as I have," says the star.

He says his illness has made him think more about the afterlife.
"I don't know what's on the other side," Swayze says. "It tests everything I believe in ... that here is something unique in all of us that does not, does not die."

He says he often thinks of his late father.
"I like to believe that I've got a lot of guardian warriors sitting on my shoulder, including my dad, saying, 'You just let Swayze dog know it's been his turn all this time. You just let us do the work and we'll finish it for him. And so, I'm trying to shut up and let my angels speak to me and, and tell me what I'm supposed to do," he says.

"What winning is to me is not giving up, is no matter what's thrown at me, I can take it," Swayze says. "And I can keep going."
