Mira Sorvino Pregnant With 3rd Child

Mira Sorvino is pregnant with her third child, her rep confirms to Usmagazine.com exclusively.

“We are overjoyed at the thought of welcoming a new addition to the family," Sorvino, 41, tells Us. "With each child the love in our hearts has expanded beyond what we ever imagined was possible.

The actress -- who was named a Goodwill Ambassador to combat Human Trafficking by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime on Thursday -- and her husband of four years, Christopher Backus, 27, are already parents to Mattea Angel, 4, and Johnny Christopher King, 2.

The couple met at a friend's charades party in August 2003. They first said "I Do" in a private civil ceremony at a Santa Barbara, Calif. courthouse, and then later in Capri, Italy.

"We spend all our time with our two kids," Sorvino told CNN last month. "They're our favorite people in the world. We don't spend a lot of time partying. We don't go out much. And we just love our children and we love each other. And we have a good life. You know, we're sort of normal people living in an abnormal place."

Sorvino won an Oscar for best supporting actress in 1995 for her role in Mighty Aphrodite. She most recently starred on NBC's The Last Templar with Backus, who has also appeared on The O.C and Will & Grace.

Usher's Wife Suffered A Heart Attack Before Liposuction

Usher's wife, Tameka Foster, suffered a heart attack in Brazil before undergoing plastic surgery, the Associated Press reports.

Foster, 37, checked into the Sao Rafael Hospital on Feb. 6 for a "simple liposuction," says Ellen Dastry, spokeswoman for plastic surgeon Silvio Sterman.

Foster went into cardiac arrest while being anesthetized, "but was revived in less than a minute by heart massage," Dastry adds.

She was then placed into an induced coma before being transferred into an intensive care unit "to avoid unnecessary complications."

She's currently recovering in Sao Paulo's better-equipped Sirio-Libanes Hospital, added Dastry, who did not release any additional details.

Usher, 33, cancelled his performance at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy Gala last Saturday to rush to Brazil to be with his wife. His rep told Usmagazine.com Monday that she was in "stable condition after suffering complications from routine surgery."

Foster and Usher wed in August 2007. They are parents to two-month-old Naveid Ely Raymond and Usher Raymond V, 15 months. Foster also has three sons from a prior relationship.

Joaquin Phoenix "Entertains" On Letterman

After perplexing fans recently by announcing he was quitting acting to become a hip-hop artist, the 34-year-old appeared on the talk show to promote his last film, Two Lovers, but gave only stammering one-word answers.

At one point, he pulled a wad of chewing gum from his mouth and stuck it to the host’s desk.
Letterman welcomed him with a glowing introduction and initially worked hard to coax answers out of the unresponsive star. But after receiving a raft of one-word replies, the presenter, known for his cutting wit, gave in to the live audience’s disbelieving laughter and began mocking the unkempt-looking Phoenix.

Taking aim at his shaggy beard, he enquired: “What can you tell us about your days with the Unabomber?”

Phoenix appeared mildly offended, but continued on with the interview, later informing Letterman that he was putting acting behind him in favor of his music career as a rapper.

Still, what fans did not see was the presence of a film crew, led by the Walk the Line star’s brother-in-law, Casey Affleck. The film crew, coupled with Phoenix’s train wreck debut as a hip-hop artist, continue to raise the question … Is Joaquin headed down Amy-Winehouse-lane, or are the crazy antics and shaggy appearance all part of an elaborate joke?

Phoenix has vehemently denied that the career-change is a stunt.

"There's not a hoax," Phoenix said. "Might I be ridiculous? Might my career in music be laughable? Yeah, that's possible, but that's certainly not my intention."

Still, despite his intentions, his music indeed was laughable, at least to Letterman’s audience, who could barely contain themselves when Phoenix spoke of his ambitions as a rapper.

Seemingly annoyed by the audience’s response, he asked Letterman, “What do you have them on? What do you gas them up with?”

US Airways Flight 1549 Captain Talks About His Harrowing Ordeal To People

Despite his miraculous landing of US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River last month, Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger III was tormented by 'what ifs' the first two weeks after the crash, he tells PEOPLE for its new cover story.

"I was glad the NTSB [National Transportation Safety Board] investigation matched our perception of what happened because we didn't have much time to analyze the situation," he says. "I was relieved when I found out we'd done everything we could do."

The Airbus A320 was about 90 seconds into its flight from New York's LaGuardia Airport on Jan. 15 when a flock of geese pounded the windshield and knocked out both engines. "I knew the situation was bad immediately," says Sullenberger, 58. After calmly telling air-traffic controllers he was unable to return to LaGuardia and could not make it to a nearby airport in Teterboro, N.J., he knew his only option was the Hudson River.

"I knew I could make a successful water landing," he says. And he did. After the plane stopped, says Sullenberger, he and co-pilot Jeffrey Skiles looked at each other and said, " 'Well, that wasn't as bad as I thought,' meaning it was more like a normal landing than it should have been."

All 155 aboard survived, but Sullenberger says he suffers flashbacks and is not quite ready to go back to work yet. "In hindsight," he says, "I think something remarkable did happen that day."

Julianne Hough Talks About Real Life Boyfriend/Dancing Partner!

Things are about to get serious between Julianne Hough and her beau, country star Chuck Wicks.

The real-life couple will be making a play for the mirror-ball trophy as partners on this season’s Dancing with the Stars–and the two-time DWTS champ isn’t about to go easy on her sweetie when they hit the dancefloor.

“I might kick him in the butt a little harder than with my other partners!” Hough, 20, tells PEOPLE. “I’m definitely a ‘crack the whip’ type of person.”

It’s a lesson Wicks, 29, has learned quickly. “He was like, ‘Wow, you’re really tough!’” she laughs. “But he says, ‘I don’t want you to treat me any differently than any of your other partners.’”

Though Hough admits she was initially apprehensive about dancing with her boyfriend, the potential ballroom benefits of quickstepping with Wicks ultimately won her over.“We never get to spend much time together,” says Hough, whose foray into country music just earned her an Academy of Country Music Award nomination for best new female artist. “On the show, we’ll be together 24 hours a day. We’re a really good team off stage, so I think it will be fun.”

And Hough already likes what she sees. “To be honest, he’s actually really good,” she says of their first practice. “He’s never really danced before – well, he told me he does a mean electric slide, but I never saw it!”

Hough admits “there are going to be people who love us and people who hate us,” but says she’s looking forward to the season – all the more so because another real-life couple, Jewel and her husband rodeo star Ty Murray, are also contestants.

“We went on tour with Jewel last year and we’re all friends,” she says of the foursome. “We’ll definitely be rooting for each other.” –Eileen Finan

Prince Harry To Undergo Diversity Training

The Prince has been ordered by his army bosses to enroll in equality and diversity lessons.

The sessions are the disciplinary actions assigned after the third in line to the crown was caught on video referring to a fellow solder as a "Paki," PEOPLE has confirmed.

The news also comes a day after it was reported that Harry, 24, told a comedian, "You don't sound like a black chap."

On Thursday, comic Stephen K, Amos, the target of Harry's "back chap" remark at Prince Charles's 60th birthday party in November, said there were no hard feelings towards Harry and he (Amos) had not taken offense.

"As a comedian it is my job to find the funny. I was honored to be asked to perform at the 60th birthday comedy event for Prince Charles," said Amos. "I do not believe Prince Harry was racist to me." He added, "I am more than happy to contribute to the debate surrounding race relations, but I will not allow comments taken out of context to obscure the real issues."
