Paula Is Not Being Kicked Off Idol
American Idol producer Ken Warwick says that Paula Abdul's job is safe.
"There's never ever been any discussion that we would want to get rid of Paula, even if there were people in production that didn't like her," Warwick told Usmagazine.com during a Monday conference call.
"And Simon [Cowell]'s one of them. He waffles in and out, he likes her one minute, he loves her the next, he can't stand her the next. America loves Paula, she's an integral part of this program and as far as I'm concerned I hope she's there 'til the day it comes off the air," Warwick added.
The producer called Abdul "one of the foundation blocks of this series, and I certainly would not want to lose her and I don't think America would want to lose her either. She keeps Simon well in control and she's worth her weightin gold in that alone."
Warwick also said that Abdul never told producers about prior problems with longtime stalker Paula Goodspeed before her audition. "I can absolutely put my hand on my heart and say, 'well I didn't know' and that's the truth," Warwick told Us. "If I'd thought anyone was dangerous for any reason, I would not let them in."
He told Us that Abdul might have mentioned it to security, but he personally knew nothing about it nor did anyone who had the authority to do something.

Jennifer Hudson's Family Was Killed In a Jealous Rage
Prosecutors in Chicago today confirmed the theory they laid out in a hearing earlier this month that the Oscar winner's estranged brother-in-law was caught in a fit of jealous rage when he murdered Hudson's mother, brother and nephew.
The Cook County State's Attorney's Office allege that at about 8:10 a.m. on Oct. 24, William Balfour stopped by the residence he had shared with Julia Hudson until their separation in February. Balfour allegedly went ballistic after seeing a birthday present he wrongly assumed had been given to Hudson by a new beau.
"Defendant again warned Julia Hudson about having a relationship with another man," the court papers read. Prosecutors say Balfour repeatedly had threatened to harm his ex-wife's family, but because he never acted out before, she wasn't overly concerned.
Jennifer and Julia Hudson's mother, 58-year-old Darnell Donerson, their 29-year-old brother, Jason Hudson, and Julia's 7-year-old son, Julian King, were asleep in the house at the time. Julia Hudson left the house to go to work, while Balfour reportedly went to a gas station to deal with some car trouble.
But, prosecutors say, at some point Balfour returned to Hudson's home, this time packing a gun he had swiped from Jason Hudson. Balfour allegedly shot Darnell in the living room, Jason in a bedroom and then left with Julian in a white Suburban. Balfour shot the boy as he was crouched behind the front seat, the prosecutors allege.
Balfour was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of home invasion and is currently being held without bail. His next hearing is scheduled for Dec. 30.

The American Film Institute's Top 10 List For 2008
Iron Man and The Dark Knight were both named Sunday to the American Film Institute's Movies of the Year Top 10 list.
On the television side, the AFI Awards' honorees included The Office, Lost and Mad Men, but not the Emmy-winning 30 Rock.
For Iron Man, the kudos is its first major honor of awards season. For The Dark Knight, it's its umpteenth honor.
Brad Pitt, Michelle Williams, and Clint Eastwood helped represent for people who can't fly.
Pitt's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Williams' Wendy and Lucy and Eastwood's Gran Torino all made AFI's movie Top 10.
Rounding out the list: Frost/Nixon, the low-budget indie Frozen River, Milk, WALL-E, and The Wrestler.
Revolutionary Road, The Reader and Slumdog Millionaire, all of which are up for Best Drama at the Golden Globes, along with Frost/Nixon and Benjamin Button, were not AFI selections. The group's awards honor American-made films; those three movies are European productions or coproductions.
As with film, the AFI's Programs of the Year list heavily favored drama over comedy.
In addition to Lost and Mad Men, Breaking Bad, In Treatment, cult-favorite Life, the miniseries John Adams, the TV movie Recount, and the late The Wire and The Shield all made the cut.
The Office was the only half-hour comedy honored.

Hugh Hefner's Sons Disagree On Dating Multiple Women At Once
Hugh Hefner's teenage sons, Marston and Cooper, are split on whether they would take after their dad in the dating department.
Before splitting earlier this year, 82-year-old Hef famously juggled three babes -- Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt. He is now dating 19-year-old twins."I'm not going to have multiple girlfriends -- not at the same time," 18-year-old Marston Hefner says in the January issue of Playboy "I can't imagine that."
His brother, 17-year-old Cooper Hefner, begs to differ.
"I can imagine doing that. I don't think it's an odd thing to do," he says. "You date around to try to find a connection with some girl."
Cooper admits he's "already gotten in trouble" and had the "revolving-door conversation" with his mother, former Playmate Kimberley Conrad.
"One girl comes in the front door while the other one gets pushed out the back," Cooper says, adding that his mother has told him, "'We do not have a revolving door in this house!'
"She's all about one girlfriend at a time," he says.
Cooper also says growing up in the Playboy mansion is overrated.
"They don’t get it when you say, 'There's nothing to do there,'" he says. "But when you live here and come here every single day, you see the same things.
"Anybody else would be like, 'Let's go see monkeys!' But I don't want to see monkeys," he goes on. "I'd rather go bowling than play with monkeys."
So do the boys ever want to run Playboy one day?
"I definitely want to be involved with the company," Cooper says. "If I were to take over the company or have a say in what's going on, I'd want the girls to be presented more as they were in the pictorials back in the 1950s and 1960s -— kind of artsy, classy. I would like to bring back that retro-class feel."'

Tom Cruise: "I Could Have Handled That Better"
More than three years after their now-infamous verbal sparring match on The Today Show, Tom Cruise and Matt Lauer played nice during their interview on Monday morning.
"This is not Rocky II," Matt said about the much-hyped one-on-one. "This is not a rematch.
"If anything, Tom's mood during Monday's live interview was apologetic. "I went back and I looked at it," he said of the June 2005 face-off that saw the Oscar-nominated star launching into an anti-psychiatry rant on the hit morning show. "After looking at it, I really thought... you know, it's not what I had intended... In looking at myself, you know, that came across as arrogant.
"Tom later added, "That's one of those things you go, 'Okay, I could have absolutely handled that better.'
"However it wasn't all doom-and-gloom for the Valkyrie star. "It was a subject matter that's important," he explained. "And now it's something that's being debated in the public.
"For Tom, it's not a matter of being on the wrong side of the issue — but rather a matter of not doing a good job of explaining his point of view. "I didn't communicate it the way i wanted to communicate it," he told Matt. "That's not who I am; that's not the person that I am."
Having gotten a reality check from the negative publicity that followed the original interview, Tom says he's learned to keep his priorities straight.
"I'm here to entertain people," he explained. "That's who I am and what I want to do.
"But don't expect the outspoken actor to stay silent on the topic of his controversial religious beliefs. He's just going to pick his battles more appropriately.
"I think there's a time and a place for it," he told Matt about his speaking on behalf of Scientology. "When people are tuning in to hear about my movie, that's what I'm here to talk about.
"Off the topic of Scientology, Matt asked Tom if he and wife Katie Holmes are planning on having a baby brother or sister for their daughter Suri anytime soon.
"That's a question for the women," he laughed. "It's really their choice, isn't it?"

Some familiar features will also reportedly be altered. According to the site, the Wild Card round will make its return while the charity-based Idol Gives Back doesn’t look to be returning this season.
