Carrie Underwood Nervous About People's Choice

She survived Simon Cowell and American Idol three years ago. She's proved her staying power with two hit albums. Yet being up against Rihanna and Taylor Swift at Wednesday's People's Choice Awards is giving Carrie Underwood the shakes.

"They're both so big, and there's great competition. I'm nervous and so excited at the same time," she reports of being up for favorite female singer and favorite country song.

Underwood, 25, is also hitting the stage to perform her ballad, "I Know You Won't," complete with a full orchestra. "It's a really emotional song about a guy who just won't call. We've all had that happen, right?"

Living up to her fashionista image, the country singer will be donning three different brightly colored gowns at Wednesday's show, to air live on CBS at 9 p.m. ET. "When I was trying things on the neon colors made me happy," she says of her dresses by George Chakra, Zuhair Murad, and Naeem Kahn.

In a special collaboration to mark both PEOPLE Magazine and the People's Choice Awards' 35th birthdays, a special award will be given to the Favorite Star Under 35.

But win or lose, it's all about the fans. "It means so much that the fans are still supporting me and that I had fans before I even had a career," says Underwood. "They've been there with me the whole time."

Rob Pattinson and a Bevy of Beautiful Vampires

Robert Pattinson will be back, and so will Kristen Stewart.

And we're happy to report that it was just announced this afternoon that Taylor Lautner will be coming back, too.

We're talking, of course, about New Moon, the OMG-cannot-wait-for-it sequel to Twilight. And we just got some fresh info on the new blood that director Chris Weitz is on the prowl for...

We got our hands on a casting breakdown for the movie. According to the document, Weitz & Co. are looking for at least six people to play Quileute Indians, all of whom eventually morph into wolves.

As well, while shooting is set to begin in March in Vancouver, they'll also be filming in Italy.

Yup, Weitz & Co. are looking for Italian vampires: five men and two women. No surprise really, but all of them are described as being, among other things, "beautiful," "handsome" and/or "elegant."

Latest rumors to hit the Internet buzz that Disney stars Vanessa Hudgens and Brenda Song are being considered for roles.

We've got no confirmation on that (reps for both say they've heard nothing of the sort), but it's got us thinking about who might be next in the rumor mill—Selena Gomez, maybe?

Britney Spears Reveals Controversial New Single

Britney Spears has announced on BritneySpears.com that "If U Seek Amy" will be the third single off her platinum album, Circus.

The upbeat party tune -- with the thinly veiled raunchy title (get it?) -- features the lyrics: "All of the Boys/and All of the Girls Are Beggin' to/If You Seek Amy."

Circus -- Spears' sixth studio album -- dropped on Dec. 2, her 27th birthday. It sold more than 505,000 copies in its first week of release.

Spears is set to kick off a world tour March 3 in her home state of Louisiana.

Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce Nominated for NAACP Image Awards

Jennifer Hudson -- whose mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were brutally murdered in Chicago last October -- received some good news on Wednesday from the NAACP Image Awards.

The Oscar winner garnered seven nominations including best new recording artist, best female recording artist, best duo (with Fantasia) and best supporting actress (The Secret Life of Bees).

Meanwhile, Hudson's Dreamgirls co-star Beyonce grabbed five nominations, including best female recording artist, best video for both "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies" and best supporting actress for Cadillac Records.

America Ferrera, Will Smith, Mariah Carey and Queen Latifah were also nominated.

The awards, hosted by Halle Berry and Tyler Perry, will air live on Feb. 12.

Tori Spelling to Return to 90210

Tori Spelling might find herself in a familiar zip code soon.

The star is in final negotiations to reprise her role as Donna Martin in the new version of the '90s hit show 90210, according to Entertainment Tonight.

This isn't the first time Spelling has been rumored to return to the teen drama. In August, Spelling reportedly pulled out after learning Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty had been offered higher salaries.

If the deal goes through this time, fellow Beverly Hills, 90210 alum Jason Priestley will direct Spelling's debut episode, which is slated to shoot at the end of January, TV Guide says.

Spelling -- whose late father Aaron created and produced the original series -- has had two children with her husband Dean McDermott since leaving the show: Liam, 22 months, and Stella, 7 months.

Robert Pattinson Has a Billion Reasons to Bail

Robert Pattinson certainly has his priorities straight.

The Twilight megahunk has dropped out of Parts Per Billion, the independent film he was supposed to begin shooting in Los Angeles this month, to ready himself for round two as vampiric heartthrob Edward Cullen.

"Unfortunately, the prep time and production schedule on New Moon haven't left enough time for Robert to work on Parts Per Billion in the first quarter of this year," the star's agent, Nicholas Frenkel, told MTV.

No word yet on who will fill the heartthrob's shoes on the indie flick, produced by and starring Rosario Dawson. Pattinson was supposed to have some hot and heavy love scenes with actress Olivia Thirlby (Juno), but fans may have to wait for that heat until the fourth Twilight film. Until then, though, the actor has Little Ashes and How to Be coming down the pipeline.

"Before, you have that fear: 'Hey, can you pull me a size 20?'" says Aguilar, who is now a size 4 to 6. What girl wants to say that?"

Brad Pitt Defends Jen & Angelina in the Same Article

Is Brad Pitt trying to declare peace in the Brangelina vs. Jennifer Aniston media smackdown?

It seems that way in his latest interview in W magazine, where he's photographed au naturel and gives unguarded answers when asked about Jen's "uncool" comments.

"Jen is a sweetheart,” Brad says. “I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created.”

He echoes Jen's claims that they're still in touch, saying that he and Jen still "check in" with each other. "She was a big part of my life, and me hers," he continues.

Twilight's Taylor Lautner May Stay On As Jacob Black In New Moon

Taylor Lautner could reprise his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight sequel New Moon.

Summit Entertainment is expected to announce its decision as early as this week for the next film based on Stephenie Meyer's vampire series.

A decision that will make many Twilight – as well as the Lautner, 16 – very happy. "Jacob is a totally different character in New Moon," Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter of both Twilight films says. "He's a foot taller and huge – and he's supposed to look 25. It's really a question of whether or not the same actor can play the role."

Even Lautner recognizes the difference in his character and told MTV last month he had been working out enough to gain 19 lbs. and had 10 to go! Kristen Stewart, 18, is set to return as Bella Swan, and Robert Pattinson, 22, will definitely be her hunky vampire love interest, Edward Cullen.

The sequel will be directed by Chris Weitz and released Nov. 20, 2009.

In a recent People poll, readers overwhelmingly chose Lautner to stay on rather than be replaced by Michael Copon, 26, in the more mature role. Rosenberg adds, "'Everyone would love to keep him. We all think he's the loveliest person ever."
