Facing public outrage over revelations that she supports her family with the help of food stamps and claims that she is fixated with Angelina Jolie, Nadya Suleman says that she's turning to "a greater strength" to cope with her sudden notoriety.
The California mother of octuplets says she hopes the media frenzy will soon die out and allow her to focus on raising her eight new babies, born Jan. 26, along with her six older children.
"Next week it will be okay," she says, peering outside at a group of reporters camped in front of her Whittier, Calif., home. "No one will be out there, I'm hoping."
Suleman also rejected claims that she is obsessed with Jolie. "All lies. I have no interest in her. None," she says. "I've never been a fan of anybody famous. Now I kinda have a taste. But it's not being famous – it's being infamous. It's a nightmare."
Jolie's rep said reports that the actress received letters from Suleman are untrue.
Meanwhile, Suleman's mother, who last week in a televised interview called her daughter's decision to implant six embryos "unconscionable," appears to be softening her stance. Angela Suleman, who helps care for her grandchildren, appeared on CBS's The Early Show Monday calling her daughter "a good mother."
"I did [resent Nadya], but you know, you can resent your daughter for just so long, and then you see that she's trying so hard to take care of these children, and she's a good mother," Angela Suleman said on the program. She added that their current living conditions – Nadya and her children all live in a three-bedroom house with Angela – will need to change when the babies are released from the hospital.
"I'll have to do something to help her get another [house]," she said.

Britney Spears' New Video Sneak Peek
New pics have surfaced of Britney Spears on the set of her "If You Seek Amy" video.
So what can fans expect? A sexy look for the singer, topless dancers, a sunken tub and some well-choreographed dance moves.
Sounds like typical Britney—she secured her latest comeback with naked sauna shots in the "Womanizer" video in the same way she cemented her place in pop history way back when with her "Drive Me Crazy" jailbait video.
Still, we're psyched even if it is the same old, same old sex-driven strutting. And the singer must be too: The video shoot was "super sexy and really fun! I can't wait for you all to see it…" Brit wrote in her Twitter push last week.
Now the queen of good camera angles is Tweeting again, urging fans to check out the making-of pics she's posted.
Consider it done.

Julia Roberts Wants to Plan Play Date With Her Kids, Obama Girls
Julia Roberts wouldn't mind getting her three kids together with Malia and Sasha Obama.
When asked by Allure magazine about her dream dinner party, the Oscar winner says: "For sure, we're going to start with the Obamas. The girls can play with my kids."
Also on her list: Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Tina Fey, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Diane Sawyer and her husband Mike Nichols.
Roberts says she'd cook "a big chicken tagine with figs and apricots" herself.
The 41-year-old also opens up about staying gorgeous at her age.
"The key to beauty is always to be looking at someone who loves you, really," she said. The actress wed cameraman Danny Moder, whom she met on the set of The Mexican, in 2002.
She's back to work in thriller Duplicity (out this March) after taking a few years off to raise twins Hazel and Finn, 4, and Henry, 2.
"A lot of the mom struggle in life is that everything happens within the four walls of the home, and it can lose its luster a little bit, maybe," she says of being a stay-at-home mom. "You just have to bring it in from the outside sometimes."
But the "coolest thing you can do for your children is to love each other in their presence. I'm the luckiest girl in town, I really am," she says.

Real Housewives Of NYC's Bethenny Talks About New Season--Starting Tonight!
When it comes to backstabbing and gossiping behind each others backs, nobody does it as well as The Real Housewives of New York City.
Gotham's favorite frenemies are back for a new season and this time there's even more drama with the addition of model Kelly Killoren Bensimon.
"Whenever you have five women and you add another one, you're always going to have a new dynamic," celebrity chef Bethenny Frankel tells Star. Here, Bethenny dishes on dating, the new housewife and more!
Congrats on Season 2. Tell us what to expect.
There are a couple of big fights this year and they are surprising ones. Your eyeballs will be falling out of your head and your jaw will be dropping! It's real drama that you can relate to but you can't believe it's happening.
You are hilarious!
Everyone's calling me the queen of the one-liners. I have the ability to organize a thought and get it on my tongue at the exact same time. I'm lucky.
Will you be dating on the show?
Of course you'll see me dating! Have we met?! I have a lot of stuff going on. I don't know what kind of man can keep up with me.
Are you scared that the show will put off any possible suitors?
Anybody who would be real excited to do this... those would be like the 24-year-old guys who are on The Hills. That's the person I would be scared of.
Tell us about the new housewife, Kelly.
I didn't really know her. I had met her maybe a dozen times at different events and such. We run in different crowds. I just know of her.
How do you get along?
We're two strong women about town in New York. Do the math.
Any advice for a newcomer?
You gotta play the game. We have a camaraderie, we all started this together and we didn't know what was going to come of it. We didn't know it was even going to be called Real Housewives! I always say, "Don't hate the player, hate the game." You signed up for a reality show, this is not ... I mean, myself included, there's something crazy about anyone who would do this sort of thing. So anyone who is coming into it will have to accept it for what it is and play along because it's an ensemble cast, it's a reality show. This is not a normal, serious documentary. There's going to be a lot of antics, a lot of drama. Truth is stranger that fiction. If you're not willing to play along, you know... it doesn't work for everybody.
How real is the show?
It's real and people are just not self-aware and they don't realize how they come off or they try to manufacture who they want to be. You can't manufacture who you want to be. Be yourself, but I don't know if you'll be interesting. People want to watch five lunatics in Manhattan go at it!

Carrie Underwood Cheers On Her Hockey Star Boyfriend
Though she's kept mum since first being romantically linked with Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher last month, Carrie Underwood publicly cheered for her guy when his team took on her hometown Predators in Nashville Monday night.
Sitting in a private box in Nashville's Sommet Center, Underwood gripped the edge of her seat as he drove the puck to the goal and grimaced and cringed as Fisher was body slammed.
At one point, Fisher appeared to look up in her direction and she flashed a smile.
Fisher was credited with an assist, helping his team beat Nashville 2-0, and Underwood – who in the past has appeared at Predators games to root for her home team – clearly battled divided loyalties. The singer tensed up when the Predators appeared close to scoring, but also gamely displayed her "fang fingers" (a gesture mimicking Predator mascot Gnash's teeth) along with the crowd.
Having a great time, Underwood boogied and sang along to snippets of "Ice, Ice Baby" and "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" played over the loudspeaker. She remained in her box throughout whole game before reportedly joining Fisher in the team's dressing room.
Pre-game, she shared a meal with a small group in a private room at The Palm, located across from the hockey arena.

Kelly Clarkson Talks Cellulite
"No girl is perfect," Clarkson told a group of Girl Scouts recently. "No girl wakes up every day and is like, 'I'm awesome!'"
In fact, she told the group of about 20 pre-teens gathered in Nashville Feb. 11 for a self-esteem workshop sponsored by Dove, "just to let you know everyone in the magazines is Photoshopped! Beyoncé is one of the most beautiful girls in the world but she gets Photoshopped too. We're all human!"
Clarkson, 26, knows what it's like to have her body image picked apart. "It affected me when people were saying about me and some other artists that we were the 'thicker' ones," she tells PEOPLE. "I'd be a liar if I said I was always fine with it. But I'm wise enough by now to know that you're never going to please everyone so you may as well stop trying."
It was a lesson the American Idol champ learned when she appeared on the show seven years ago and saw her voice – and image – become fodder for gossip. "I learned right then to stop reading press. Either you're going to get a big head or you'll get depressed and neither one is great. I don't buy magazines like that. Even if I'm not in them, it's just healthier to get away from that kind of thinking," she says.
"It's horrible – they'll show celebrities with cellulite and it's like, 'Of course celebrities have cellulite! We're not fem-bots!'"
Clarkson says she's seen the effect of such body image scrutiny on friends in the public eye. "They melt down because of it," she says. "There is a lot of pressure."
But the singer, whose album All I Ever Wanted is due out March 10, says she's come to terms with it. "When I'm on the red carpet, it's not even a question anymore," says Clarkson. "Usually people are very encouraging and tell me they love that I'm normal."
Normal was plenty good for 10-year-old Shelby Davis, one of the Girl Scouts attending the workshop. "She has a whole bunch of self-esteem," Davis says of the Grammy-winning star. "She's someone you can look up to."

The Bachelor Host, Chris Harrison, Talks About All The Drama That's Upcoming
With all the crazy stories floating around let me say this about what's to come: I've been hosting this show for over seven years now and I've never seen anything like this season.
From start to finish it has been unlike anything we have ever put on the air. There are many reasons for this (like good casting and good producing), but honestly some things on our show -- as much as we'd love to take credit -- had less to do with great producing and more to do with good old-fashioned human emotion.
The theory that this is all produced or scripted cracks me up. Don't you think if we scripted all these endings, we would come up with a perfect love story or crazy twist every time? The truth is, and I think this is the greatest thing about our show, in the end it's not a game, it's real people trying to make a real life decision, and when that is fake you can tell.
After watching the tease at the end of our show, I'm sure there are millions of questions and a million more rumors and theories.
Obviously, Deanna comes back in the finale. We flew her out to New Zealand where she does sit down with Jason.
We also showed you a bit of the first After the Final Rose special that will air immediately after the finale on March 2nd.
I give you a hint that something happens that's so stunning and dramatic, we taped it in private without an audience. Let me tell you in no uncertain terms, this is a moment in Bachelor history you don't want to miss.
Next Monday night, February 23rd, is our two-hour Women Tell All special. It's a great show that true Bachelor fans will love. We listened to you guys, and the show is packed full of bloopers, never-before-seen footage and in-depth interviews with Jason getting his thoughts on the pivotal points in the season.
We also catch up with former couples, and we cover all the rumors swirling around about former Bachelors and Bachelorettes.
And of course, we sit down with the most memorable women from this season and dish about what happened. My sit-down with Jillian is incredibly emotional, and Jason comes out to face her for the first time since that day back in New Zealand.

Kate Winslet Talks About Oscar Night
Nominated for an Oscar for the sixth time – she's up for best actress for a troubled woman with a Nazi past in The Reader – Kate Winslet, 33, is a pro at negotiating Hollywood's biggest night.
PEOPLE.COM checked in on her plans for this year.
Do you have an acceptance speech prepared?
I don't at all. I'm just not thinking that far ahead. I just feel so happy to have had this nomination, that it's for a film that was so challenging.
Any dresses in mind?
It's such fun to work out what you're going to wear. You become incredibly girlie. In England we don't have the tradition of prom or anything like that. The closest we came was a tragic school disco where the lights would break and the music was awful. In the last few years – maybe it's age – I feel very settled within myself. I don't feel the red-carpet pressure. I don't know what I'm going to be wearing yet. Hopefully it will be wonderful and relaxed.
Any crazy diets or detoxes?
N.O. [I] absolutely do not. I'm very sort of relaxed and vocal about these things. I have not done a stitch of exercise since October. I literally have not had the time. And I'm just going to eat normally, I'm not going to make cuts. If I'm keeping it together it's by a wing and a prayer. I just want to enjoy this."
What are looking forward to the most?
One of the great 'Okay, you can breathe now moments' is when you've gotten through the red carpet. 'Oh god, what if I trip over, what if I say something stupid, I wonder if they can see the big zit on my chin?' The relief moment is that moment when you get in the doors and there aren't any cameras and you go, 'Wheew! Where's the bathroom?' "

Kenny Chesney Finally Explains What Happened With Renee Zellweger
Country star Kenny Chesney is finally opening up about what went wrong during his four month marriage to Renee Zellweger. "I panicked. I pushed her away," Kenny tells Playboy magazine.
He says the media attention was too much for him and, "I just didn't want to be married to her any more."
The couple's whirlwind romance seemed picture perfect, complete with sunset vows on a beach in the Virgin Islands in 2005. But when the actress filed to annul the whole thing just 128 days later, citing "fraud," it was clear that there was a lot more going on behind the surface. "I didn't have a clue as to what true marriage meant," Kenny confesses. "It was a scary moment for me."
And although Renee was the one who filed for the annulment, Kenny says it was more of a mutual decision. "Somebody had to file the papers. I was fine with her doing it."
Still, he hasn't gotten over their short-lived romance. "I still think about her every day," he admits. "Don't believe it hasn't left scars. I mean, you don't just fall out of love with somebody."

Jennifer Aniston And John Mayer Celebrate Valentines Day In The Bahamas
Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer celebrated Valentine's Day with a trip to the Bahamas.
The vacation was apparently a present from Mayer.
The two left aboard a private jet from Los Angeles late last Thursday night -- a day after Aniston's 40th birthday -- and arrived on the island of Eleuthera the next morning.
They stayed in a gated, luxurious home on the north of the island - where Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon wed last year.
The trip was short: Both took off Monday in separate private jets from the island's main airport.
They shared a passionate kiss and hug as they prepared to part ways.

Meet The New Real Housewife Of New York City!
If the original five castmembers of The Real Housewives of New York City weren't enough personality for you, Bravo has gone and added a sixth into the mix.
Her name is Kelly Killoren Bensimon. She's a model, author, magazine editor, fashion designer and an equestrian. She's also a single mom to her two daughters with her ex-husband, world renowned fashion and celebrity photographer Gilles Bensimon.
Why are you doing Real Housewives of New York City?
Everybody wants to know that. I thought it was a great opportunity to explore a single working mother who is living and navigating the crazy city of New York.
When you're first introduced on the show, Bethenny says that, unlike the other women on the show, you're a real socialite. That you're the real deal. You agree?
I don't think of myself as a socialite. I think of Nan Kempner as a socialite. If you say I'm anywhere near her, I'm incredibly flattered, but you know, I'm a mother, writer and an equestrian. That's who I am. I don't like to give people titles.
What did your friends have to say when you told them you were the new Housewife?
Some were like, this is a great opportunity and you should go for it. They're like, you have such a crazy vivacious personality the masses are going to love you. But other friends were like, what are you doing? Don't do it. Putting your life on television? It's not like I'm doing anything I'm ashamed of. You know, I'm riding horses and writing articles and hanging out with my kids.
Have you become good friends with any of the original Housewives?
I think they're all really great, unique women. I had a lot of fun doing the show.
So did you have any good fights with any of them?
There are definitely some altercations. You know, this is New York City, so it gets a little feisty. But, you know, that’s par for the course. You can't have six dynamic magnetic personalities and not have something happen.
Are we going to see any romance for you on the show?
There is a little romance. There's a smokin'-hot romance. Is the smokin'-hot guy still around? I'm single. I'm newly single and I've just been dating around. I got married when I was really young, so it's just been really fun, but it's also uncharted waters for me. Also, the bar is different this time. It's not like I can just go out on a date whenever I want. I have my two girls to think of. The first time I meet someone, I'm like, who are you? What do you do? And where do you come from?
Were you filmed on any of your dates?
I would never put a date on camera. I think that would scar a relationship. It's like, I love you, can you be on TV with me? And if he did say yes, I would be like, I don't want to talk to you.
Did your ex-husband have any problem with your daughters being on the show?
He knows that I would never do anything that is inappropriate or put them in a situation that I wouldn't put them in normally. He knows exactly how I stand with them.
The second season of RHNYC premieres tonight on Bravo.
