When Tina Fey was 5, a stranger approached her in her front yard and slashed her face — hence the scar that runs down the left side of her face. In the January issue of Vanity Fair, Fey says the experience didn't hold her back. "I proceeded unaware of it. I was a very confident little kid. It's really almost like I'm kind of able to forget about it, until I was on-camera," says Fey. (She is frequently shot from the right on 30 Rock.) Nevertheless, she did get some unsettling news from her therapist about the incident.
"Supposedly, I will go crazy," she says, adding that her young daughter, Alice, may inadvertently trigger the reaction. "My therapist says, 'When Alice is the age that you were, you may go crazy.'"
