No word yet on whether John Travolta has officially canceled his next scheduled public appearance after the tragic death on Friday of his 16-year-old son, Jett.Travolta is slated to appear on Jan. 11 at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards where his latest movie, Bolt, is nominated for best Animated Feature and best Original Song for his duet with co-star Miley Cyrus, "I Thought I Lost You."
An autopsy on Travolta's son is expected to commence on Monday in the Bahamas. One of Travolta's attorneys told reporters that it's likely Jett's body will be flown back to Florida where he will be buried. His mother is actress Kelly Preston, who's been married to Travolta since 1991.
Meanwhile, sources have learned more about the "caretaker" who found Jett's body on Friday morning. He is Jeff Michael Kathrein, a close family friend and professional photographer. Kathrein, 30, has snapped photos of Kelly for a magazine shoot and also has professional ties to John.
