With her son bravely battling pancreatic cancer in front of the world, Patsy Swayze says she's determined to stay strong for her boy. And she's asking Star readers to keep him in their thoughts.In the Feb. 9 issue of Star — on sale today — the magazine has an exclusive interview with Patrick's 81-year-old mother.
"Patrick is strong, and he's determined to beat this!" Patsy tells Star. But she knows her son — who was hospitalized for a week earlier in the month — can use all the support he can get, and she adds: "Please tell everyone to keep us in their prayers. Pray for Patrick. I know he has a lot of fans out there thinking about him, and we all appreciate that."
Also, a close friend of Patrick and his wife Lisa's tells Star that despite Patrick's outward confidence — and the fact that he just began writing a memoir — the longtime loves have finally come to grips with the possibility that his time could be growing short.
