According to sources, Jen has been asked to present at the Oscars, which is Brad and Angie's big night as they're both nominees (for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Changeling).Not only was Jen in the hugely grossing Marley & Me, but she also has to promote her next film, the star-studded He’s Just Not That Into You.
"She was a good girl and pulled back during the Golden Globes even though she had the hottest movie out," says a friend. Now with HJNTIY coming out Feb. 6, which is expected to be a huge hit, she'll be even more red hot on Oscar night, Feb. 22.
"The movie will likely still be near the top of the box office," says the friend. "Jen will own the night. Brad and Angie might be nominated, but Los Angeles is Jen's town."
And if that weren't enough to steal the spotlight from Brangie, Jen also plans to bring an extra-special publicity-grabbing accessory: her boyfriend John Mayer. In fact, it was he who encouraged her to accept the offer to present, according to an insider close to John.
