Jennifer Hudson took the stage at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles Thursday to rehearse for her performance at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Gala this weekend. We also spoke with the legendary Clive Davis and the Grammy-nominated Leona Lewis about the big bash.
Hudson, who has kept a low profile since the tragic shooting deaths of her mother, brother and nephew last October, shared a hug with Davis after her rehearsal. Hudson's performance will mark her second major performance since her family tragedy -- the first being her powerful rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" before last Sunday's Super Bowl game.
Davis, who is the Chief Creative Officer of Sony Music Entertainment, talks about bringing music talent together for his annual party, saying:
"Well, what's great is that over the years, the party became an industry party, and yes, I used it as an opportunity to introduce artists like Leona or Jennifer … they've all been a part of this party, where we celebrate music because it's the night before the awards."
The Pre-Grammy Gala will take place this Saturday and will include a performance by Whitney Houston.
