Britney Spears: "The Whole Year Has Been a Hell of a Ride"
In January's Glamour, Britney Spears opens up about her "crazy year," her new album Circus and her future.
"The whole year has been a hell of a year for me," she says, referring to her forced psychiatric hospitalizations, loss of custody of her two sons and infamous head shaving.
Recording her latest album Circus -- which drops Tuesday on her 27th birthday -- "has helped take my mind off certain things," she says. "For me, my music is therapy."
The singer -- who made her first live performance Wednesday in Germany since her rocky 2007 MTV Video Music Awards stint -- also admits she "didn't know exactly where I stood with everyone" after the past year.
"When I received the awards and [the audience] stood for me, it showed me how much love is out there," says Spears, who swept the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.
Her life is calmer these days, she says.
"I don't like going out. I hate clubs. I hate being around too many people," the singer tells Glamour. "I love my home and staying in bed and watching Dancing With the Stars or reading a Danielle Steel novel. I'm kind of boring."
She's also been hitting the gym.
On her post-baby body, Spears says, "My body...completely changed [after giving birth], and I have had to work hard at getting it back."

Ten years after shocking the world with the announcement that he has Parkinson's, Michael J. Fox is aggressively fighting the disease – and says he still sees a bright future ahead. "Based on how I feel now," the star tells PEOPLE in its new issue, "I'll be okay for at least 10 more years." Since leaving Spin City in 2000 – two years after revealing his Parkinson's diagnosis on the cover of PEOPLE magazine – Fox, 47, has been focused on raising his four kids with wife Tracy Pollan, 48, and helping The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research pour $140 million into fighting the disease. Fox has found a successful combination of medications to keep his symptoms under control. But, he says, the progression of the disease is unavoidable, and "at some point every day" he enters a state of what doctors call "bradykinesia" – in which his arms hang heavy at his side. But the actor tells PEOPLE he doesn't want anyone feeling sorry for him. In fact, Fox says, having Parkinson's "is part of an amazing life." And it's not "an otherwise amazing life," he clarifies. "It's part of what makes my life amazing."

Twilight Takes Big Bite out of Box Office, Sequel Already Planned
Teen vampire flick Twilight sucked the life out of its competitors this weekend, earning claiming the No. 1 spot with a $70.6 million opening, according to studio estimates.Seventy-five percent of that cash flow came from women, Variety reports, and such a strong opening sets a new precedent. Openings of $70 million and up are generally expected from family films and fanboy franchises (see Iron Man and Dark Knight), but this fangirl (or fang-girl?) rush, while expected, exceeded the studio's expectations by more than $10 million.

Rachael Ray to Undergo Throat Surgery
Daytime chatfest queen Rachael Ray will have less to talk about this Christmas — but that's only because she won't be able to talk."I'm having voice surgery on Dec. 16, so we're going to celebrate very quietly." Ray is going under the knife to remove a benign cyst in her throat, but she is more worried about keeping quiet post-op than she is about the procedure itself. Mariah Carey---is she pregnant?
On her talk show Wednesday, Ellen DeGeneres puts Mariah Carey in the hot seat over rumors that she and husband Nick Cannon are expecting their first child.
"People are saying that you're pregnant," DeGeneres says.
"No, that's OK," Carey coyly replies.
Telling her she doesn't have to answer, DeGeneres then tries to get Carey to take a sip of champagne.
But Carey tells her it's "just fattening. That's not champagne. You can't have it on TV.
"I can't believe you did this to me, Ellen," she later adds. "This is peer pressure."
DeGeneres then tells her, "let's toast to you not being pregnant."
Replies Carey, "Oh, my goodness! I can't believe her! Why would we toast to that? How about to the future?"
Carey pretends to drink the champagne as she adds, "It's too early for me. I only drink after 3 p.m.!"
"You're pregnant," DeGeneres flat-out tells her.
"I didn't say that. No, no, no. My mother would be at home, like on the computer, like what are you talking about?" Carey replies. "We will let you know when we're going to have a family."
Meanwhile, Carey also explains how she and Cannon did not consummate their relationship before tying the knot.
"We were intimate, but we weren't completely intimate in the biblical sense," Carey tells DeGeneres.
Adds the singer, "It worked out great."

Britney's On The Cover Of December's Rolling Stone--Talking Too Much Again
This news is surprising....somebody needs to stop letting Britney talk to people. Does no one censor her??
In the Dec. 11 issue of Rolling Stone she says her sons Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, already have potty mouths. "They're staring to learn words like 'stupid,' and Preston says the F-word now sometimes," Spears, 26, reveals.
"He doesn't get it from us," the singer stresses. "He must get it from his daddy [Kevin Federline]. I say it, but not around my kids."
Every time she sees her boys, "I think about how they're such special people.
Her boys "are almost like twins," she continues. "They both take care of each other. I think they look like me.
As a mother of two, Spears -- who currently has two visits and an overnight per week with her children -- says she feels like "an old person now. I do! I go to bed at, like, 9:30 every night, and I don't go out or anything."

If Brooke Doesn't Win on DWTS, She Wants Lance To Take Home The Trophy
Dancing With the Stars' Brooke Burke is determined to win Tuesday's finale.
"I gotta bring that trophy home! I gotta represent - last girl standing!" she said "Anything can happen on a show like this. We've seen it in the past."
In the off chance that she doesn't win, she says she wants Lance Bass to score the discoball trophy.
He and his partner Lacey Schwimmer "have been the underdogs," Burke says. "Lance and I are good friends -- he's a great guy. And I guess if it can't be me, I'd want Lance to take it home."
She adds that she's relieved the season is winding down.
"You push your body to the limit, and you just start tearing down," she says. "We are all fried!

Another Sex And The City Movie?
Parker said she and writer/director Michael Patrick King have discussed many potential stories but seem to have found one they agree on, “We’re at the place where…we think we have this story and how do we put this together and are we completely sure that it’s the right thing to do?”
One storyline loyal fans shouldn’t count is one that brings a baby into Carrie’s life. Parker told us, “[Motherhood] doesn’t seem as if that’s going to be a choice she’ll make. It feels a little bit manipulative to toss that into the mix because she seems so pointed in a different direction.”
Though Parker said “the studio is very enthusiastic” about a sequel she continually questions whether they should move forward. “I would do these forever but is it right for the audience? Is this the story that we can tell well? These are the questions I have to ask myself or I’m not being fair to the franchise. That’s where we are.”
Asked if the reports of a potential shoot next summer are true and Parker confirmed, “I think it’s a realistic timetable. That’s when we’d start shooting to be out in 2010. But that means we need to figure this out in the next couple of months.”

Will Brooke Burke Take The Trophy On DWTS?
Brooke Burke could be the one who wins "Dancing With the Stars." The 37-year-old model-actress and her professional partner, Derek Hough, dominated the popular ABC dancing competition's final round Monday night, receiving a combined score of 58 out of 60 from the judges.
Burke wowed the audience with a lively and twirly freestyle routine set to "You're the One That I Want" from "Grease."
"That, I think, was the best freestyle I've ever seen," head judge Len Goodman told Burke.
The judges bestowed Burke with a perfect score of 30 for the routine. The former host of "Wild On" from the E! network and CBS' "Rock Star" has dominated the dance contest's seventh season. Burke has come in first place seven out of nine times during the competition and received a 10 — the judges' top score — 13 times, maintaining an average score of 28 from the judges.
"You are the one that we all want," judge Bruno Tonioli said to Burke.
Her fellow finalists, former 'N Sync member Lance Bass and former NFL player Warren Sapp, both received a combined total of 53. For their freestyle routines, Sapp and his professional partner, Kym Johnson, grooved to Ike and Tina Turner's "Proud Mary," while Bass and his professional partner, Lacey Schwimmer, performed a hip-hop ditty to Run-DMC's "It's Tricky."
"I thought there was one choice that didn't resonate with me," judge Carrie-Ann Inaba told Bass.
The seventh-season champion will be crowned Tuesday night after the three finalists perform their final dance. The judges' scores will then be combined with viewers' votes to determine who will win the competition's gaudy mirror ball trophy. Throughout the two-hour finale, previously eliminated couples will also return to perform on the dance floor.

Travis Barker Files Lawsuit Over Plane Crash
Travis Barker is looking for justice.
In his first postcrash TV news interview, the musician tells E! News exclusively why he decided to file a lawsuit over the plane crash that killed four people and left Barker and DJ AM badly burned.
"I wouldn't have been in the state I was in if I wasn't in the crash," said Barker, who spoke Sunday while at the Miss California USA event with Shanna Moakler. "I wouldn't have third-degree burns all over my body or be prohibited to do certain things. I can't go swimming. I can't do some of the things that normal people can do. I didn't ask for that to happen."
DJ AM, who is also continuing his recovery from the Sept. 19 incident, is not part of the lawsuit. Said Barker: "I can't speak for him—I think everyone just has different attorneys." The two are currently rehearsing for a New Year's Eve gig at the Paramount lot in Hollywood.
The drummer says he doesn't know if he'll win his lawsuit.
"I don't know. I just think positive. I mean, I think so—if something goes wrong that's not supposed to go wrong or you fall victim of it, I think you should be compensated."
He says he's not just speaking for himself, either. "I lost two friends in the accident. Nothing can bring them back or what I lost in the accident."

Survivor is Down to Seven
And the third member of the Survivor: Gabon jury is Randy, whose sound strategy was squashed by a bit of resin and a few beads. "Being voted out by these bozos is probably one of the best accolades anyone could get," the cantankerous castoff said afterward. "To hell with these freakin' people. I hope Corinne does well if she's not in on today's plot...Most of the others, with the exception of Matty, I hope they get hit by a green mamba [snake]."
Andrew and Dan Finish Last on the Amazing Race
Ultimately, Toni and Dallas landed in first, and won a romantic trip for two to the Dominican Republic. Ken and Tina, who are getting along better, came in second. Nick and Starr came in third, but when the frat guys arrived, the sun was starting to go down.
But though the frat guys came in last, it was a non-elimination round, which is good, because they're not so win and succeed based; they're more lose-but-stay-in-on-a-technicality based. But as Andrew said, "People like seeing the underdogs win."
